THE BETRAYAL OF THE SPIRIT OF POVERTY

Today, as I joined the prayer group CYM with Apostle Tomi Arayomi, (1) he mentioned something that gave me insight into the reality of what happens in the body of Christ and the world, where we have discovered the culprit of so much betrayal, slander, gossip, and defamation of character against those who are speaking the truth of the Gospel and are living for the praise of the glory of God.

The Apostle said that “the spirit of betrayal is kin to the spirit of poverty” (32:30 min.). This means that those who are easily led to speak against others to make sure their name is tainted and to punish them for speaking and living the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and especially seek to shine bright at the cost of the good name of those they defame, are being led by a spirit of poverty.

Said another way, in other posts I have mentioned that the system of gain of the enemy and those who serve him is through covetousness, and this covetousness happens when someone desires and goes after what belongs to another. The majority of the time these covetous people don't operate in a covert way but seek to steal by, as mentioned, accusing, slandering, and tainting the name of those they want to hurt and punish for being who they are. This is especially true of sorcerers and those who seek them and pay them money to steal from others by accusation and cursing.

The Bible states from the times of the Old Testament that covetousness is a sin, and it is greatly punished. In my studies about covetousness, in every passage in the Bible that I read about a person who coveted something God had given to another, the covetous person ended up removed with violence. That is because, as I have taught in other posts, and the Lord is again highlighting, covetousness is not tolerated in the Kingdom and is punishable by confrontation that is followed by death, removal, casting down, or uprooting.

Exodus 20:17

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.'” NKJV

Satan was the first example of this when he coveted God's throne and worship of Him in our hearts. The Bible says that for this reason, he was cast down (see Revelation 12:1-10). And Isaiah 14:12-13 says,

'How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;” NKJV

Another example is Korah, who, together with Abiram, Dathan, and On, Levites and men of renown among the camp of the Israelites, rose up against Moses and Aaron to complain that they were not the right leaders for the congregation of God's people. By this, they rebelled against their leaders appointed by God and lured 250 others to rebel with them, igniting this way, the wrath of God.

These perpetrators were called to minister to the Lord and serve the people (Vs. 8-11), but they were after the priesthood of Moses, not realizing that by doing this, they had gathered themselves against the Lord who had called Moses to lead His people. To their constant complaints and defiance, Moses responded in Numbers 16:15 by stating that he was not a covetous person and therefore had not taken anything that was theirs, and due to this, he had the legal right to ask God to reject their offering unto Him.

Then Moses was very angry, and said to the Lord, 'Do not respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I hurt one of them.'”

The grounds for Moses' request are found in Isaiah 61:8. God was directing His work through Moses in truth and out of the covenant He had made with him concerning his calling of leading the people of Israel safely to their destination. Thus, the injustice of the rebellion of Korah and those who rose up with him against their leaders was an attempt to rob Moses and Aaron of what God had called, chosen, and appointed them to do on behalf of His Kingdom and on behalf of His people. The Scripture says,

For I, the Lord, love justice;
I hate robbery for burnt offering;
I will direct their work in truth,
And will make with them an everlasting covenant.” NKJV

That is why God, who is known for doing creative miracles, responded to the words of Moses, His servant, by performing exactly what he said would happen to those who rejected the Lord by rejecting the people He chose. Verses 28-32 say,

28 “And Moses said: 'By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will. 29 If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.'

31 Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.” NKJV

There are more examples of this crime throughout the Old and New Testaments, led by people who lived with a poverty and scarcity mentality, including leaders like Ahab and Jezebel, who stole Naboth's vineyard by defaming his character and accusing him of speaking against God and the king, and for this reason he died by stoning (1 Kings 21). But as a result of their covetousness and violence against Naboth, King Ahab was first confronted by the Prophet Elijah and later died in battle, and Queen Jezebel was thrown down from her balcony by the eunuchs who served her, at the command of Jehu, a former commander of Ahab's army, who was later anointed as king over Israel.

Likewise, in Acts 5:1-11, there was a powerful move of the Holy Spirit, manifested in the grace for generosity among His people who were selling their lands and possessions and laying the money they received at the feet of the Apostles. But Ananias and Sapphira, a husband and wife, conspired to sell a land and lie about how much money they received from the sale in order to give less. The Holy Spirit, moving through Peter to confront them for their actions, influenced by the enemy to quench the grace of generosity among God's people, sentenced them both to death within hours of each other and they died the same day. The people's giving was voluntary, and they gave according to what they had purposed. But this couple lied and died for trying to quench the move of God by coveting money and lying to keep more of it.

Covetous people who live by this wrong belief don't realize that God is a God of abundance, and He owns the earth that is also filled with abundance. For this reason, He gives us things designed and tailored only for us to fulfill our purpose and destiny that no one can take from us. And those who believe the lies of the enemy and think there's not enough for us and them, and also believe they have to steal what belongs to God, and He gives to us His people to steward while we do His will, are rejecting Him, as well as what He Himself designed and tailored for them.

By their actions and wrong belief, they're telling God that they reject Him and what He has for them and instead want what He gave to others. And thus, many who have this wrong mindset have actively engaged in stealing marriages, children, businesses, ministries, positions and titles, lands, souls, stars, glory, and much more from others who paid the price for them. And God's only response to them if they do not repent (turn away from this wrong path and mindset) before their time of grace for repentance expires (Revelation 2:21), is by confronting them, then shaking away from them what they stole from another, and then removing them from the earth because they rejected what He wanted for them. That is, their rejection and covetousness spoke to the heavenlies that they did not need to continue existing on the earth.

This is a very sober teaching about the higher ways and higher thoughts of God that many in His body and the world ignore, and for this reason, end up on the wrong side of destiny for violating many laws of the Kingdom of heaven due to their ignorance of them and their effects, and also do it without ever repenting.

“MADURO” Time of the Ripe Fruit

MADURO” Time of the Ripe Fruit

As we observe the recent events with the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:46, However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.” NASB

Having highlighted that, here's what I hear the Lord say about what is happening in the spirit. To begin, the English word for Maduro is the word “ripe.” And the Lord reminded me that one Sunday morning, as I was in prayer with a pre-service prayer group at a church, approximately in 2022, I had a vision where I saw a big tree that was being shaken, and this caused the ripe fruit fall from this tree.

Trees in the Bible usually represent individuals, like it shows in Daniel 4:10-11, 22

10 ‘'Now these were the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed: I was looking, and behold, there was a tree in the middle of the earth and its height was great.

11 The tree grew large and became strong
And its height reached to the sky,
And it was visible to the end of the whole earth.

22 “it is you, O king; for you have become great and grown strong, and your majesty has become great and reached to the sky, and your dominion to the end of the earth.” NASB

Matthew 15:13 also says, “Jesus shrugged it off. 'Every tree that wasn’t planted by my Father in heaven will be pulled up by its roots. Forget them. They are blind men leading blind men. When a blind man leads a blind man, they both end up in the ditch.'” MSG

And in the case of former President Maduro, this tree was shaken and taken away by the roots with force and fire. Now the replacement has to get ready to make the transition and take the position to rule in righteousness on behalf of God's people.

Isaiah 22:19-21

19 “And I will thrust you from your office, and from your station will you be pulled down.

20 And in that day I will call My servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah.

21 And I will clothe him with your robe and will bind your girdle on him and will commit your authority to his hand; he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.” AMPC

Another type of tree in the Bible is the olive tree. And in order to gather the ripe olives, the tree is shaken (1). As we have learned in another post from this blog, olives are used for their oil. Biblically, the olive represents peace, prosperity, and the presence of the Holy Spirit (1). Olive oil has a wide range of uses known in the Biblical Hebrew culture, and for believers as well. Besides everyday use, it is used to anoint Kings, Priests, and Prophets. It is also used to consecrate, set apart, and purify things and also people for their holy purpose unto God, including their priesthood (2).

Biblehub.com says that “'holy anointing oil' was unique, and its composition was governed by strict instructions, emphasizing that anything touched by this oil was consecrated to the Lord.

We have also learned that in order to get the oil, the olives need to be pressed or crushed. In the life of a believer, this represents seasons in the wilderness of testing, where they feel hard pressed with trials and warfare, that God allows to develop the anointing necessary to fulfill their calling or in certain cases, the next level of their calling for which they require a greater level of anointing. That's why this looks like shakings and chaos because it is the kind of environment necessary to pull the oil of anointing out of God's vessel.

Another reminder is that the olive oil is used for the lamps which represent our life of devotion, consecration, and close relationship with God, where we are governed by Him and exercise governance (self-control and temperance because we are set apart for a purpose that has to be guarded, and for this reason, we're not to follow the patterns of this world).

But when we forget God's requirements to be able to fulfill our callings and succumb to the

patterns of the world which keep us from walking in authority and also blinds us from the subtle traps and attacks of the enemy, then, one of the ways this shows is that we stop depending and trusting fully on our God, and this way, our lamp loses the oil necessary to keep us sharp in the things of the spirit.

As we already know, this is what happened to the foolish virgins and for this reason, they could not enter in with the groom when he finally showed up. They had lost that closeness to Him, until He finally said to them, “I don't know you.” and they were sent out to pay the price for new oil. This means that they had to go and carry their cross to get the necessary oil, with its required potency to fulfill their type of calling.

The wise virgins which decided to endure the process, no matter what, were able to go back behind the door with the groom where they could go and do great exploits with Him because they were fully known, and where the flatteries and seduction of the enemy did not sway them away from focusing on their calling and important purpose on behalf of others. To them, fulfilling their part of their covenant with their God was principal.

Daniel 11:32 says,

32 “And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].

GOD IS BRINGING HEALING, DELIVERANCE, AND RESTORATION OF LIFE AND DESTINY TO HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE

First, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I want to bring a prophetic word that the Lord asked me to share. The Lord showed me two scenarios of what He's doing inside and outside of His church to clean the life of His chosen people and bring healing, deliverance, and restoration of their destiny.

The first scenario He showed me was of the church and I saw Him wearing combat boots and coming in war mode to overturn the tables of what He called the “pigs” which represent uncleanliness, hypocrisy, and resistance to God and His ways. When we sum this up, it leads to idolatry.

Leviticus 11:7

7 “And the swine, because it divides the hoof and makes a split hoof, but does not chew the cud; it is unclean to you.” AMP

Isaiah 66:17

17 “'Those who ‘consecrate’ and ‘purify’ themselves in a sacred garden with its idol in the center—feasting on pork and rats and other detestable meats—will come to a terrible end,” says the Lord.”

2 Timothy 3:5

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” NTV

I am not criticizing here those who eat pork, this is about what it represents and what the Lord is doing to cleanse His house as in the times when He entered the temple to remove the money changers who were changing the dynamics of what His house was created to do until He came to put an end to that and uphold its true essence.

His house is also His body, for which He is the Head, and was also created to be a source of healing, deliverance, and restoration for His people, not a center for the gathering of thieves that come to steal and bring Religion, Mammon worship, and false doctrines to it.

Matthew 21:12-14 says,

12Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. 13 He said to them, 'The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!'

14 The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and he healed them.” NTV

Verse 14 shows that not until He came to intervene in His house, those who came to Him in the temple were able to receive their healing. The Lord is coming with violence again to remove the wickedness and corruption that many leaders have been seduced to ignore and even led to partake of along with these perverse false worshipers who as 2 Timothy 3:5 says, “act religious,” but “reject the power of God that could make them godly.”

Isaiah 56:7 also says,

"I will bring them into My holy mountain where no foreigner is allowed
and give them a joyful welcome within My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will find acceptance on My altar
because My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." VOICE

The second scenario the Lord showed me happens outside of the church and He's calling his chosen ones who, due in part to the corrupt activities in the church, became prodigals of His presence, of His house, of His purpose, and even of many families. To them, the Lord is coming like He came to the man that was living among the tombs (his past, generational curses, and oppression of the enemy) in Mark 5. Jesus went straight to encounter the man to deliver him spirit, soul (mind, emotions, will, intellect, essence, creativity, and imagination), and destiny. Without this intervention he could not fulfill His destiny of evangelizing the10 cities assigned to him by God.

Mark 5:8-15

8For He had been saying to him, 'Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!' 9 And He was asking him, 'What is your name?' And he 'said to Him, 'My name is Legion; for we are many.' 10 And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country. 11 Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain. 12 The demons implored Him, saying, 'Send us into the swine so that we may enter them.' 13 Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.” NASB1995

Once the man was delivered from the unclean spirit that drove him to live among the tombs naked because he had been stripped of his garment (essence from God, authority, and glory that helped him be his true self), due to sin, committed by himself, or the iniquity passed down from other generations, then he was restored in every area, and was clothed in righteousness and back to his right mind.

Mark 5: 15-17

15They *came to Jesus and *observed the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had had the 'Legion'; and they became frightened. 16 Those who had seen it described to them how it had happened to the demon-possessed man, and all about the swine. 17 And they began to implore Him to leave their region.”

The Legion of demons that were oppressing and influencing the man, were also influencing and oppressing the rest of the very region he was called to evangelize. And once they were cast out of the man, they entered a few thousand pigs who were tormented until they drowned themselves, fulfilling this way, their prophecy in Isaiah 66:17 because Jesus was saying with all of this that the idolatry in that region that gave entrance to the oppression by the Legion of unclean spirits, was coming to an end.

So be encouraged, and at the same time, don't fear the shakings that will occur because they will lead to deliverance, healing, and restoration of many of God's chosen people inside and outside of the church, so they can walk in their true essence, be restored to God, clothed in righteousness, and free to think like Christ so they can fulfill their destiny.

If you Don't Work, you Don't Eat

 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” NTV

While in prayer this morning I heard the Lord say the He's declaring war on the Mammon spirit in the church. Earlier this year I had a dream where I was in a hospital and I saw people on stretchers everywhere because there were no more rooms available, and I heard doctors and nurses talking amongst themselves that there was intense fire, and the people were suffering from heat exhaustion/ This means as I sought the revelation of the dream that the people were not being burned, only the things that didn't come from the Kingdom.

Then, while with some friends, I received even more revelation of the dream that it is finally coming to pass. In this dream, in the dream, a man who represented God the Father, was wearing pants of fine Italian fabric, and the color was an almost iridescent blue, but his chest was bare signifying that the Father is now revealing His heart and exposing many things, including many manifestations of the Mammon spirit that has been allowed to influence leaders and others believers at large.

The influence of this spirit has been vast and its opposition to the prophetic and apostolic specially, has been great, until many of those raised by God to quench the fiery darts that this spirit together with Jezebel and religion inflicted on God's servants, caused them to be driven from God's house as an attempt of its retaliation.

But for these faithful servants, God the Father has come as their defender and avenger against these spirits that have opposed His true ways in His house. For this, His intense consuming fire is at the level of completing His burning process, and for that, it needed to be turned up. This is not the strange fire that Nebuchadnezzar sent to be ignited against the three Hebrew boys for which the fourth man (Jesus) came to rescue them.

This is a fire that has come with more intensity than before to quench Mammon worship, other forms of idolatry, and every replacement of the true ways of God, especially the things spoken by His servants the prophets and apostles to remove those demonic doctrines and the influence of that spirit from His church where also Jezebel was allowed to feed and sustain its false prophets at the expense of the true prophets and apostles of God not having what they need to be sustained or to serve the Lord due to the persecution they have endured for long periods.

Yet, 1 Timothy 5:18 says,

For the Scripture says, 'You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” And in another place, “Those who work deserve their pay!'” NTV

For example, during my times of process when I was being trained by God to oppose all the ways of Mammon, and follow the ways of His Kingdom, I was commanded to trust Him for my sustenance, but because it was not the “conventional” way of obtaining sustenance many believe , some used to tell me, “if you don't work you don't eat.” They didn't know the Lord told me many years ago when He told me to quit my job, not to be afraid for He's my exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1), and I will have whatever I need in the way He chose to provide it while I was in my period of process.

Luke 10:7

Stay where you’re welcomed. Become part of the family, eating and drinking whatever they give you. You’re My workers, and you deserve to be cared for. Again, don’t go from house to house,” VOICE

There have been a lot of confusion in the church about how to deal with every member, with the different ranks, callings, and functions within the church. God is not a cookie cutter God and every member has his or her unique calling. For this reason, we cannot assume that everyone in the church needs to be treated or “managed” in the same way. This is why the church needs to be more discerning of the season its members are in and whether or not they may be in a process where they're learning the ways of God for their calling.

There are some examples in the Bible of why it says that men do not eat if they don't work. This means that our ways and means of sustenance need to come from God's ways and free from Mammon influence. We need to account especial circumstances such as God's mandate for a person's calling and purpose for their lives and how He chooses to supply their needs, whether through a business, a job, a ministry, by raising people to sustain their work, etc.

Among those examples are the apostles Peter, James, John, and others. The first time Jesus led them to a great surplus of fish with a net-breaking catch, following this supernatural way of providing sustenance, after that, He commissioned them to switch from catching fish and living from the fishing industry to becoming fishers of men.

Matthew 4:19

Then He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.'” NKJV

This involved looking at their sustenance in a different way, because they would be provided from following this commission with obedience and going after souls while they followed Jesus and His instructions and demonstrations to them for how to fulfill their new commission. But then came the unthinkable. Their Master and Teacher died on the Cross, leaving them perplexed and without hope that they could follow their new found way to live and find sustenance. They forgot He promised them that He would rise again.

So, instead of trusting God to provide for their new calling, they went back to their old ways, not realizing that that door of provision to their old ways was already shut to them. Therefore, as they tried to go back to their old ways of “fishing,” they found the heavens shut because if they were not working according to the way Jesus had established for them. They could not find in any other way the level of sustenance God wanted to entrust to them.

This is something that cannot be taken lightly. In order to come out of the ways of Mammon, as believers, we need to trust God and allow Him to show us how He wants to provide for us and follow His direction to be positioned to receive what He promised. This requires intimacy with Him, as He knows what will help us receive from Him in ways that will endure the fire of testing later on.

If He's choosing to speak to some people to be the ones to supply a need for others but they refuse to obey, those hoarders make themselves enemies of God because we are but stewards of the things, the true owner, God entrusts us with, knowing that whenever He deliberately chooses to shift stewardship of His possessions to another, we need to obey and hand over stewardship of those finances, resources, relationships (whether ministerial or business alliances, or some friendships), positions, or titles to the one He shows us to give them to.

In addition, because Mammon worship has taught many believers to become debtors, and also to trust in the work of their hands instead of the supernatural power of God to supply their needs, they ignore His promptings to shift stewardship of the things they think they own, but it's not theirs, they belong to God.

Haggai 2:8

The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.” NKJV

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.”
 NKJV

That is why when the devouring fire comes to test people' believes and how they seek to obtain sustenance whether according to the ways of God, or by following the ways of the Mammon spirit, when the latter has been the choice, what is seen as a result is a shaking and a burning of those things, according to Hebrews 12:25-29,

25 “Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven! 26 When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: 'Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.' 27 This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.

28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29 For our God is a devouring fire.” NLT

Another extreme that many people, even believers follow, is the way of greed which is also driven by Mammon influence, even in the house of God. One of those ways is reflected in our seasons to receive or abstain from receiving in our own ways. Whenever God is taking us to a season of learning to drive out any idolatry in the area of receiving sustenance or even gifts, we need to receive only when and in the way He chooses for us, until we have learned the difference between the ways of God and the ways of the world and its contamination.

Elisha understood this and refused to receive lavish gifts from Naaman, a commander of the Assyrian army who was healed of leprosy at the word of the Lord through the prophet and by following his direction in order to receive the healing.

2 Kings 5:16

But Elisha replied, “As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.” NLT

The commander, acting in an extremely grateful way towards the prophet, wanted to empty out the loads his donkeys were carrying with gifts for the prophet, because this was a season when Elisha could not receive such gifts, thus, he refused them even though Naaman insisted.

But his assistant Gehazy still showed signs of his contamination with the greed of the world and went after those gifts, thinking he could manipulate his way and hide from his mentor as he pursued those gifts. As consequence, he was not only confronted by Elisha, but his disobedience granted him and his sons the leprosy Naaman was healed from.

2 Kings 5:26-27

26 “But Elisha asked him, 'Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money and clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and cattle, and male and female servants? 27 Because you have done this, you and your descendants will suffer from Naaman’s leprosy forever.' When Gehazi left the room, he was covered with leprosy; his skin was white as snow.” NLT

Another one who displayed greed with his prophetic gift was Balaam, known as the prophet for hire because he went where he saw gain, not counting whether or not God had sent him. He's also known for his false teachings that lead away from the way of truth.

2 Peter 2:15

They have veered off the right road and gotten lost, following in the steps of Balaam, the son of Beor, the false prophet. Balaam loved the reward he could get by doing evil,” VOICE

In essence, God is warning His church that His heat has turned up higher and this consuming fire is here to devour everything that did not come from Him, including in the area of finances and how we go about finding sustenance. I found in Google that in order for the fire to turn blue, (the color of the pants the man who represented our Father was wearing in my dream) there has to be a temperature of 3,600°F (1,982°C), and one of the variables that influence the color of the fire is the supply of oxygen which represents the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:15

If a man’s work is consumed by the fire, his reward will be lost but he will be spared, rescued from the fire.” VOICE

The Proper Way to Carry God's Presence

2 Samuel 6:2-7

“And [he] arose and went with all the people who were with him to Baale-judah [Kiriath-jearim] to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord of hosts, Who sits enthroned above the cherubim.

3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, with the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark.

5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord with all their might, with songs, lyres, harps, tambourines, castanets, and cymbals.

6 And when they came to Nacon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled and shook it.

7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for touching the ark, and he died there by the ark of God.” AMPC

After some time of absence from this blog page I'm back with a word that was unfolding within me since yesterday. While having a conversation with someone about the proper way to carry God's presence, the Lord revealed something for His people to me, and that is that we have come to a time where there are changes in the heavenlies that are also reflecting on the earth and in His church.

These changes are causing His people to need to change the way we have tried to carry God's presence so we can see the Kingdom backing us up in our battles and in the things, we are called to do. We see in this account that it was time for the presence of God to be among His people in the city of David, which was reflected in the ark of the covenant called by the name of the Lord of hosts. This right here should make us want to be cautious in how we're dealing with the presence of God n our lives, because the Lord of hosts by which this ark is named fights on our behalf, but also fights everything that is not of Him in our lives that we would try to mix with the things of His Kingdom.

Verse 3 says that the ark was being brought out of the house where it had settled for quite some time, until King David decided to move it to the city that had his name. Nevertheless, a huge mistake was being made in the way the ark was being carried. The Scripture says it was being mobilized by a cart. This is contrary to the ways of the Kingdom of God. Why is that? You may ask. If we carefully read and study the Scriptures, the ark of God, even before David's time was being carried on the shoulders of the priests, not by any man-made contraption or improvised device.

Joshua 3:3 says,

3 “and commanded the people, 'As soon as you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being carried by the Levitical priests, then you shall set out from your place and follow it.” ESV

The ark of the covenant represents the government of the Kingdom of God, and those of us who are called to represent His Kingdom on the earth and bring His presence and government to take over our situations and be able to accomplish our destinies, can never mix the systems and humanistic, or worldly doctrines to bring the Kingdom to back us up. Keep reading because I will show you why this is detrimental.

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ESV

Isaiah shows us that the government of the Kingdom is to always be carried on our shoulders. Jesus, the One spoken of in this verse, when He was on the earth, He carried the government He came from on His shoulders (in power from on high, with authority, and with dominion through communion with the Father and led by the Holy Spirit) and paid the price to show us that this was the only way to carry it on this earth. You might say that Jesus lives on the inside of us and that should be enough. It is true that He dwells on the inside of us.

But it is also true that salvation and the gifts and talents God endued us with were a free gift and we activate them in our lives by believing on His sacrifice on the Cross and by our confession by faith in what He did for us as we receive Him as our Lord and Savior King and His government to rule our lives. We also believe that He gave to us those gifts and talents by grace because we need them to accomplish the plan and purpose of the Father predestined for us on the earth (Ephesians 2:10).

For everything else in the Kingdom, there is a price to pay. And carrying the ark of the presence of the Lord which fights on our behalf cannot be done on the carts of the world.  Many people in the church refuse to allow the process of God for them that makes them wear in the spirit the white as snow garments that stand for our right standing with God and our position as priests that sit at His right hand in heavenly places to rule and reign with Him. The ark also represents the glory of God, and its weight is heavy. That is why we are processed to remove the world and its systems, all traces of its sinful nature, and its dirty garments from us (Zechariah 3:4).

The ark of God's presence opposes the things of the world because they are contrary to the divine nature of its King of glory. For this reason, when we want to bring His presence among us and see the Kingdom backing us up in battle, or we want to usher in His presence, like it happened to King David and those who accompanied him, no amount of worship and dancing can replace the principles of the Kingdom to bring the presence and still live in compromise with the world and its systems or live by the faith and prayers of of someone else for us to see victories while we continue to seek the comforts, pleasures, and complacency with the world.

This is the reason why verse 6 says that when the ark of the covenant reached Nacon's threshing floor the oxen stumbled and that caused the ark to shake. The threshing floor is the place where the wheat is separated from the chaff. The way David chose to bring the ark the first time was considered by God chaff and it ignited His wrath, and Uzzah, someone who had the ark of the presence in his house for so long, still didn't know how to treat the ark and carry it properly because he took it for granted. That is why he died when trying to accommodate what was an abomination to God.

This writing is a way to alert God's people that if we see something pruned or that dies in our life, it may just be that we were trying to bring the systems of the world and mix them with the ways of the Lord and of His Kingdom. His government never bows to the world and its darkness. Quite contrary, it causes the idols we have raised in our hearts knowingly or unknowingly to topple and even be dismembered and decapitated before Him.

When something is decapitated, it means that it has lost its authority over our lives and its influence in us because the presence of God we also try to have in our lives drives it out. I learned from Prophet Katie Souza that the presence fights the idol and of course it does not lose a single fight. We see this when the Philistines captured the ark of the covenant and brought it to the house of Dagon, their idol.

1 Samuel 5:1-4 shows this,

Now the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. 2 Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon, and placed it beside Dagon. 3 When the Ashdodites got up early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and set him back in his place. 4 But when they got up early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord. And the head of Dagon and both palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold; only the torso of Dagon was left.” NASB

Therefore, due to the place in the spirit the church has gone to, the world systems it has adopted and accepted together with its conformity and love for worldly pleasures are now at the threshing floor of separation because they are chaff in the sight of God, and thus, will be get shaken and removed by the wind of the Holy Spirit, so that the true essence of what is of God in us and in His house can go beyond the threshing floor, and into what He has prepared in this hour.

In this place, we will see that the things that have taken precedence in our lives more than the love of God and hunger to become the priesthood that is able to carry His weighty and glorious presence are being toppled out of our lives and out of God's house so we can advance into where we will only be focused on becoming true priests of God and are willing to pay the necessary price to be able to support the weight of His glory in our life by His grace. King David had to learn this lesson and after his devastation for trying to bring in the ark in the wrong way, learned the proper way to do it and the second time His attempt was successful and joyous (2 Samuel 6:13-15).

To God alone be all the glory. *
