Restoration of the DNA of God in us

Genesis 3:14-15:

¹⁴ So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
¹⁵ And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,And you shall bruise His heel.” NKJV

The enmity between Satan and the woman involved the seed (Cain and Abel) that came from her after he overshadowed her to put his DNA in her (this is what accepting his lie which caused her to disobey God and eat the forbidden apple in the Garden of Eden produced). Satan`s intent for this overshadowing was to reproduce himself and have sons after his own likeness. The result then was that one seed had the murderous DNA of Satan (Cain) and the other one had the obedient and worshipful DNA of a son of God (Abel).

This enmity consisted first on Jesus bruising the head of Satan—this means that by the renewing of our minds to the truth of the Word of God, we can come out from under the grip of Satan and his strongholds designed to keep us in bondage to sin and fear. There was an abundance of trade found in Satan and he was also filled internally with violence (Ezekiel 28:16). This means that he would influence those under his grip to worship the work of their hands instead of the God who gives them the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18) and trade information filled with a humanistic doctrine.

The humanistic knowledge Satan shared with them was by no means equal to the revelations we receive from God that help us walk in dominion because his knowledge was intended for selfish gain. Instead, we are called to partner with God to bring His supernatural power to earth. This includes the way He provides for us which He demonstrated in the Old and New Testaments for He promised Abraham that He would provide for us on His mountain (Genesis 22:14). Some of the information Satan traded was infected with violence which included slander and accusation of others. This was especially done against God`s sons and daughters in order to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10) their influence to advance God`s Kingdom in their spheres of influence.

The other part of Satan`s violence involved bruising the seed of the woman, Jesus. This also represents the spiritual death that came upon Adam and Eve due to the humanism that entered their lives through the fall. The result was that they started to think they could be and have the knowledge of God, but to rule and co-create without partnership with Him. In other words, they thought they could walk in dominion without following the principles and commands of God for their lives. However, doing this only granted them ejection from His glorious presence which led them to live by works instead of by grace.

Satan`s bruising of the heel of the woman`s seed also expresses that Satan would try to kill the child of promise (our promises, our callings, and the purity of our bloodline). He had this expectation for Jesus and he thought he had accomplished his goal when Jesus went to the Cross. However, he did not count on the sovereignty of God and His power to raise Jesus from the dead by the Holy Spirit on the third day. In the same way, we are called to rise again with Jesus after we have partaken of His sufferings designed to remove Satan`s DNA from us. Then we can share in His glorious power that helps us walk in dominion in the spheres of influence and authority He has given us to partner with Him.

Many have read in my posts that this takes a process. But knowing by now that in the end we will rise again in power to conquer, we can take back the kingdom by force and get the spoils Satan stole from us. But this time we can receive exceedingly and abundantly above what we can ask, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20 AMP) because partaking of God`s glorious power in our lives brings exponential increase. This includes the restoration of the purity of God`s DNA in us and our bloodline that gives us a heart sold out for Him and our willingness to use our faith to please Him and put His purposes above ours as we obey His voice.

Have you noticed how some people are easily encouraged to follow after the ways of God to worship Him wholeheartedly, but it takes others a lot more time to give into the idea that they need a Savior to help them come out from rebellious living? But even after many have said yes to Him, they may still have a hard time believing His truths and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is because the latter group was greatly subjected to the influence of Satan`s DNA working in them (although unknowingly). This caused them to follow after his ways and be used of him to obstruct or stop the fulfillment of the rise of the Seed of promise (Jesus) in them and others. The object of this was for Satan to stop the testimony of God which says, “Christ in us—the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

That is why it is especially essencial to teach our children the importance of acknowledging that refraining from sexual encounters before marriage is a weapon against Satan and his kingdom of darkness. Sex before marriage or with someone other than our spouses can produce a spiritual DNA in us that would be used of Satan to separate us from God`s presence and ways to live in dominion. There are other ways to be overshadowed by the enemy and that always comes when we believe his lies and act on them.

Satan is a copycat because God also overshadows us by His Holy Spirit to empower us to do His will and fulfill His plans and purposes for our lives as His sons and daughters. This is seeing in how He overshadowed Mary to become pregnant with a special seed: Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Luke 1:26-38 says,

²⁶ “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, ²⁷ to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. ²⁸ And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

²⁹ But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. ³⁰ Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. ³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. ³² He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

³⁴ Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. ³⁶ Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. ³⁷ For with God nothing will be impossible.”

³⁸ Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.”

Therefore, as sons and daughters of God, our response to His commands for us should always be as Mary said, “Let it be done unto me according to your word.” On the other hand, Satan`s overshadowing produces a running away from God and His ways for us. So if you can identify with succumbing to the DNA of Satan by believing his lies, all you have to do is repent and receive God`s grace to live for Him and worship Him alone. Again, you will have to go through the process of decontamination from Satan`s DNA that God prescribes for you, but it is worth your freedom from bondage so you can have life in abundance, to the fullest, and till it overflows to those around you.
