A New Season of Sifting has Arrived for Many in the Body of Christ

 

Amos 9:9-10

9 “‘For surely I will command,

And will sift the house of Israel among all nations,

As grain is sifted in a sieve;

Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,

Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’”

God has given the command, and the Body of Christ has reached a season where many will go through a sifting process of the things they cannot carry to their destiny. As this unfolds, there will be a shaking of everything that does not conform to the Kingdom in their lives so that what remains is their reflection of the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus in them in reverence and godly fear.

Hebrews 12:25-29

“25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.” 

Also, during this testing process, God's word will wash, purify, and cleanse them from all stubbornness, filth, and idolatry so that they can receive a new heart and a new spirit that will make them receptive to God’s word, learn to discern good from evil, and follow God's decrees and ordinances with obedience.

Ezekiel 36:25-27

25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

This way, God is seeking for them to learn to carry their cross because, like Peter, they have been rejecting it, denying it, and running from it and instead, traded it for the conformity of the world (Mark 14:30). That is why also, like Peter, they will be sifted that they may return to the Lord wholeheartedly.

Luke 22:31-32

31 “And the Lord said, ‘Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.’”

In the past seasons, like in the times of Noah, the Lord had been beckoning them to come inside the ark where they would be carried to their destiny according to His way and His will, but the luring of the world was more enticing and now, the door and windows of the ark have been sealed shut, so the waters of the world and its corruption would not get in. 

That is why the Lord, in His grace and mercy is taking many to a process of testing in the wilderness since currently, they lack the authority and anointing to be fully known in the spirit realm. And so, like the foolish virgins, they will knock incessantly, but they will hear the voice of the groom saying, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’” (Matthew 25:12). 

Fortunately, these are not permanent words for those who will seek with repentance to be restored to their right standing with God and will yield to His process that will turn them from every wicked way and transform them by the renewing of their mind.  The Lord Jesus, as the Head, is seeking to bring them to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of Him with His body because in their current state, they cannot testify of the One whom they don’t know.

Ephesians 4:13

13 “till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;”

This will help them reach the measure of the spiritual stature of Jesus. In other words, this process will transform them into mature sons and daughters of God that will be strong in their spirit, which will enable them to discern the things of the spirit according to the righteousness of Jesus. Thus, the fire of the Holy Spirit will burn every carnality and soulish way that causes them to behave according to the ways of the world that made them ineffective to the things of the spirit.

THE RIGHTEOUS DOUBLE PORTION

 

1 Samuel 18:6-8

“Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments. So the women sang as they danced, and said:

‘Saul has slain his thousands,

And David his ten thousands.’

Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, ‘They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?’”

Saul’s spirit became contaminated and corrupted with the spirit of the enemy that he did not remove when commanded by the Lord through the Prophet Samuel. Thus, he began showing signs of this contamination more and more. This corrupted spirit could not be reproduced in the next generations that could’ve succeeded him in the kingship of Israel. 

That is why David was raised by God in the wilderness of testing and came out with the double portion anointing necessary to deal with the level of demonic opposition that rose up in his time. Saul could not fulfill the task of removing Goliath the giant because neither he nor his army which was also influenced by the fear of their leader had the legal right or authority to deal with this enemy.

David, on the other hand, was more than ready to run to the battlefield, confront, and prophesy the downfall and removal of the giant on behalf of the entire army of the living God. David had a heart not only for God but for the restoration of his people. This marks the difference between the motivations that led to the actions and reactions of both King Saul and David. 

The proof of the unrighteous character and defiled anointing of King Saul that could not be reproduced in the next generations is revealed in his response to the song the women sang to one another in their frolicking when they came out of their homes to welcome the king and his army from the victory of the battle against the Philistine army with the head of Goliath with them. 

The Scripture says in verse 8 that the song of the women made King Saul angry. I would like to add that his insecurity and inferiority complex also contributed to his emotional upheaval and disregard for the life and the success of young David after he heard this song. Sadly, this is a common occurrence among many leaders that do not have the concept of legacy. They blindly believe that they have it all together, and in their jealousy, they obstruct, persecute, and attempt to derail the next generations from reaching their destiny. 

Instead of encouraging them to succeed and even surpass them in their knowledge of God and the exploits they can do for the Kingdom, they do everything they can to keep them from succeeding. That is why God removes these leaders from their positions when, not only what they carry (their armor) cannot be used by the next generations, but He trains them in a way that they can succeed without the help of these leaders. 

God equips these generations with everything necessary to reach their destiny, even with compassion and mercy for those who would not let them come alongside them with the unique set of gifts and talents they carry to help these leaders create more impact. 

By contrast, leaders like Elijah, don’t wait for their successors to come to them, they go after them wherever they are and put their mantle on them through mentoring, encouraging, and pouring them of their anointing and teaching them how not to go through the battles they went through. These leaders become fathers and mothers to those that will stand on their shoulders because that is their standard of the Kingdom. 

1 Kings 19:19-21

“So Elijah went and found Elisha son of Shaphat plowing a field. There were twelve teams of oxen in the field, and Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away. Elisha left the oxen standing there, ran after Elijah, and said to him, ‘First let me go and kiss my father and mother good-bye, and then I will go with you!’ Elijah replied, ‘Go on back, but think about what I have done to you.’ So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. He used the wood from the plow to build a fire to roast their flesh. He passed around the meat to the townspeople, and they all ate. Then he went with Elijah as his assistant.” NLT

Elijah the Prophet had a pure anointing, worthy of passing down in double form to the generations after him in order for them to defeat what he dealt with in his generation. He dealt with the corruption and idolatry of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, who defiled the land of Israel and led the people to idol worship while the queen had ordained the prophets of God to be killed. 

It was Elisha’s service and continual fellowship with his mentor and spiritual father that positioned him to learn to deal with any type of opposition. While the corruption and its propagation through Ahab and Jezebel’s false prophets were done away with in Elijah’s time, it was the double portion of anointing Elisha received before Elijah’s departure that gave way for him and the two kings anointed at God’s command to Elijah —Hazael and Jehu— that led to the manifestation of Elijah’s prophecy that the entire house of Ahab and Jezebel would be destroyed. 

1 Kings 19:15-17

“Then the Lord told him, ‘Go back the same way you came, and travel to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive there, anoint Hazael to be king of Aram. Then anoint Jehu grandson of Nimshi to be king of Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from the town of Abel-meholah to replace you as my prophet. Anyone who escapes from Hazael will be killed by Jehu, and those who escape Jehu will be killed by Elisha!” NLT

We also see in 2 Kings 2:1-13 the understanding Elisha had of his role as Elisha’s mentee and spiritual son. His willingness to be by his spiritual father’s side and continue to serve him was so great, that when encouraged to separate from him three times, Elisha refused the offer and stayed with Elijah until the chariot of fire picked him up. It was his faithfulness that granted him this needed double portion anointing. It ensured that there would not be any issues with the wickedness of Ahab and Jezebel while he fulfilled his calling. 

Therefore, the miracles he was able to perform from then on were twice as many as Elijah’s and with twice as much power, and twice his influence. He had the mantle but not the same fight. Elisha also received twice the favor and benefits of this anointing. Many more people were willing to come to Him with lavish gifts and even a place was prepared for him to abide whenever he came to the town of Shunem (See 2 Kings 4:10).

This is what as leaders we’re to endeavor to do on behalf of the next generations of leaders. We need to reach out to them, teach them, encourage them, and equip them to do more than we have been able to accomplish in our lifetime. Jesus also demonstrated for us this standard of the Kingdom. He ministered for three years and served, mentored, and empowered His disciples to become apostles (sent ones in the power of His Spirit and their particular anointing), and we read of all the great exploits they were able to achieve to establish, expand, advance, and call on God to defend His Kingdom so they could continue in His plan for them with boldness. 

Matthew 4:18-22

“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.” NIV

Acts 4:29-31 

“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’ After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.” NLT

Word of the Lord for the State of Washington, United States

 WORD OF THE LORD FOR WASHINGTON STATE

WORD OF THE LORD FOR WASHINGTON STATE

Recently, the Lord has been having me pray hard for the State of Washington and for His Church, especially in this State. He gave me two words that relate to each other concerning this State. Here’s what He’s been showing me. He asked me to release these words for intercessors to agree in prayer and keep interceding for these things to come into existence beginning this year. 

PRISON DOORS OPEN, RESTORATIONS, AND PRODIGAL RETURNS

The Lord began to show me for the State of Washington, for us as individuals, for our families, and for the Church in this State as He took me to Acts 16 that He’s dealing with the spirit of sorcery and the occult activity that has greatly been manifesting in this State and the captivity of many through these “jailers or custodians of curses and demonic decrees.”

One other thing with that, is that the things obtained through this demonic influence will also be shaken out of the lives of those who sought to obtain them through this system. But for God’s children, this is a time of restoration of the things the enemy stole from us. But we must seek the Lord to show us how He wants to bring them back in our life.

Then one Sunday, while I was at church, during worship, some of us could hear angels singing with us. The Lord showed me that this was causing the same effect as when Paul and Silas were singing praises in their prison where they ended up for casting out a spirit of divination from a girl that was bringing big profits to the demonic realm and to those who served him through this system.

But the praises assisted by the angelic host pierced through the demonic barrier in the spirit which caused a shaking and the prisons where many people have been held through strife, division, and deception, including marriages, children, families, finances, health, businesses, territories, properties, and other things that were held up by the enemy, now broke open and we will see many restorations and prodigals coming back home. Many of these are prodigals of God’s presence, prodigals of God’s purpose, prodigals of the Church, and prodigals in families.

And many who operated as jailers of the enemy will seek to be saved along with their families and will forsake seeking the things of the enemy to serve him and instead will run after the things of God wholeheartedly to know the truth that sets them free as it says in Isaiah 10:20,

“And it shall come to pass in that day
That the remnant of Israel,
And such as have escaped of the house of Jacob,
Will never again depend on him who defeated them,
But will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.”

 

WASHINGTON STATE IS NO LONGER THE MOST UNCHURCHED STATE

The second thing the Lord has been showing me concerning the State of Washington is that the seal or stamp the enemy had on this State that said “The most unchurched State” has been destroyed and instead, a new seal has been placed over this State which says:

1.   “The most churched State in the United States,”

2.   “The State where we will see the most faithful people coming to church, and serve, not only the Church, but one another because the road to our destiny is paved with service to others.”

The Lord also took me to Isaiah 22:22 where it says, 

“The key of the house of David
I will lay on his shoulder;
So he shall open, and no one shall shut;
And he shall shut, and no one shall open.” NKJV

He took me to this Scripture to show me that the former seal or stamp of the enemy over the State of Washington was been shut and cannot be reopened over it, but the new seal that was superimposed over the State cannot be shut or revoked.

The next thing the Lord spoke to me about several times over is that we can no longer agree with the enemy and keep calling this State the “Most unchurched State,” but we need to agree with the new and speak it out. 

2 Corinthians 5:17 says,

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

This also means that we need to change the way we speak and see things since many of those things were seen through to the lull of the enemy and its seduction. The yoke of oppression of the enemy, and his burden of sin and idolatry have been removed and we’re now free to seek to renew our minds to the truth of God’s Word and His purpose for our life.
