Higher Perspective and New Freedom

These are two images I saw at church today during our pre-service prayer time. I was actually worshipping when I saw them. This is a word for the body of Christ. SO GET READY TO SEE THINGS DIFFERENT AND WITH A NEW PERSPECTIVE because as a child of God, you have been brought to a higher level where the view is different and closer to the way God sees things. The old way of seeing things is now obsolete. So, seek the new perspective God has for your situation. Seeing things different and applying the new wisdom you will now acquire is going to bring you freedom from the bondage to the enemy and you will see his yoke of oppression against you destroyed. the yoke in my vision was also broken. To God alone be the glory.

Learning to Turn the Light on of God’s Wisdom

Genesis 1:2-3
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” NKJV

Man has been walking in a form of stupor, stumbling and slipping through life because of the darkness he has been subjected to from the time of Adam. He thought he could live without communing with God and partnering with Him for His supernatural power to be demonstrated in him and through him. The lie the enemy told Eve that she shared with Adam through the eating of the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, instead made both of them void of the glory of God they once walked in.

Eating from this tree turned man into a being full of illusion and void of the reality (demonstration of God’s Word and His supernatural power) that comes to us by our knowledge of who He is and of the ways of His Kingdom. The enemy wanted Adam and Eve to think that they were like God knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity. But what really happened is that by eating from the fruit of the tree which God had told them to not eat, they were able to see their nakedness. This brought a transformation that God did not want. Genesis 3:4-7 says,

But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die,
For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.
Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves apron like girdles.” NKJV

The transformation was one of darkness that made man fearful and this fear was the main entrance that made him turn from God and the godly wisdom that comes from our communion with Him. This in turn, caused him to reject God and think that he could accomplish life on earth on his own terms. In other words, by works and not by the grace of God that made us partakers of His glory and His supernatural power.

As the Scripture says in Genesis 1:3, there has to be light in us in order for us to follow the right path to the blessings and abundant life and this light can only come when we have the wisdom of God. This wisdom comes from a different type of fear than the one the serpent caused Adam and Eve to experience. Proverbs 1:7 reveals the difference of this fear.

“The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.” AMP

Job 1:1 also talks about how he walked in this type of reverential fear of the Lord which forms our true character and causes us to live full of His wisdom and honor towards Him since it makes us blameless and upright in His sight when we trust and believe His word, and promises. It says, “There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God [with reverence] and abstained from and turned away from evil [because he honored God].” AMP

The fear the enemy caused Adam and Eve to be exposed to is a fear of nakedness which caused them to sew girdles made of fig tree leaves. We have mentioned before that the meaning of the fig tree is that man walks in the illusion and imagination of his mind about things that could happen to him or around him if he does not do something of his own volition to prevent it or change it. The problem with this view is that it does not include God’s counsel and direction for him to make better choices that will bring him godly outcomes and freedom from bondage to the enemy.

This type of darkness man still experiences today due to his rejection of God. He rejects knowing Him in order to walk as if he too is God. When a man lives apart from the wisdom of God there is also a lack of self-discipline to follow His ways which bring lack of discernment of the way he should go or of how to prevent evil in his life which could cause him to stagger along the way like a drunken man. In addition, there is no understanding and insight of how to walk in integrity and truth so he could instruct the next generation of the ways of God as we’re commanded to.

Deuteronomy 4:9 shows how we are commanded to remember the Lord and His mighty acts on our behalf and to pass this instruction to our children. But the men or heads of households are the ones instructed to do this. They were the ones that fought the battles on the way to the Promised Land and saw the defeat of the enemy. Therefore, from first-hand experience, they are the ones that are commanded by God to pass down the instruction of the Lord.  “Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your [mind and] heart all the days of your life. Teach them to your children and your children’s children—“AMPC

Psalm 45:17 tells us how the sons of Korahs also followed this ordinance after they were restored to their positions as priests of the Lord so they could teach it to the congregations under their care. “I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give You thanks forever and ever.” AMPC

However, Psalm 78:40-42 tells us how Asaph recorded man’s disobedience and how in his defiance he chose to not remember God and the mighty works of His hand on his behalf. It says,

40 “How often they defied and rebelled against Him in the wilderness and grieved Him in the desert!
41 And time and again they turned back and tempted God, provoking and incensing the Holy One of Israel.
42They remembered not [seriously the miracles of the working of] His hand, nor the day when He delivered them from the enemy,” AMPC

What followed instead of remembering God was a rehearsal of the thoughts and perceptions brought by fear of the unknown that he had learned to live by and that he passed down to the next generation instead of passing down trust in God and His supernatural power to save, deliver, heal, fight on his behalf, provide, sanctify, and guide all the way to the fulfillment of His plans and purposes for man.

For this reason, many have fallen form the way and those who are lost don’t even know they walk in darkness that leads to destruction. Job also succumbed to this type of fear at a time when he was being tested of God through attacks by Satan to see if he would curse God. Job 3:25 says, “’For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me, And that of which I am afraid has come upon me.” NKJV

Job 12:25 also says, “’They grope in darkness without light, And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.’” NKJV

But God wants us to turn from the darkness of fear of Him and of the unknown to full trust in Him and His power to help us live life in abundance and to overflow (John 10:10). For this, His Son Jesus died and it is the Father who leads us to Him, the Light. John 8:2 reveals Jesus as the Light of the world,
“Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.’” NKJV

Ephesians 1:17-19 also demonstrates that by being flooded with the light of God through Jesus Christ, His Son, we can receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation of the mysteries and secrets of His Kingdom that help us know the hope for which we were called and the richness of the glorious Inheritance God has in us, His set apart ones. The greatness of God’s power in our lives instructed to us in His word is unlimited, immeasurable, and surpassing for us who believe. This is important to understand for us to walk in His light and glory that enables us to grow and overcome every obstacle at every level of our journey with Him. It says,

17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,
18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),
19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,” AMP

Psalm 119:105 also reveals this by saying, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” AMPC

Therefore, learning to walk in the Light of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, means that we walk in His wisdom and it is easier to understand His instructions in our times of communion with Him as we read His word and hear His voice, because we are flooded with His light which helps us recognize His voice and not follow the voice the enemy (John 10:27). Let’s ask Him to help us be flooded with His light and wisdom as the apostle Paul prayed on behalf of those who lived in his sphere of influence and authority.

To Him alone be all the glory. ▪

When Our Book of Destiny is Edited

Matthew 25:24-30 MSG
24-25 “’The servant given one thousand said, ‘Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error. I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.’
26-27 “The master was furious. ‘That’s a terrible way to live! It’s criminal to live cautiously like that! If you knew I was after the best, why did you do less than the least? The least you could have done would have been to invest the sum with the bankers, where at least I would have gotten a little interest.
28-30 “‘Take the thousand and give it to the one who risked the most. And get rid of this “play-it-safe” who won’t go out on a limb. Throw him out into utter darkness.’

This story actually has two sides. Starting on verse 19 of Matthew 25 (not written here) we see there is the side of the two first servants which, when brought to give an account of what they had done with what was entrusted to them, were found to have taken the necessary risks and had multiplied what was given to them according to the standard of the Kingdom of God. But in this post, we are going to focus on what happened with the servant who did not take the necessary risks and played it safe instead.

Verse 24 explains this mentioned standard in the New King James Version which says, "24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed." Here we see that because the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, He can decide who sows towards something and who gets to reap it. And when we understand this standard, we rejoice when we sow with those who reap from what we sowed.

John 4:37-38 also describes,
37 "For in this the saying is true:‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.'

However, Amos 8:13-14 explains what happens when those who sow work together with those who reap: restoration happens and things that fell into ruins can be rebuilt.

13 13 "The Lord says, “A time of great blessing is coming.
Workers will still be harvesting
when it is time to plow the fields again.
They will still be trampling the grapes
when it is time for a new crop.
Sweet wine will drip from the mountains
    and pour from the hills.
14 14 I will bring my people, Israel,
    back from captivity.
They will rebuild the ruined cities,
and they will live in them.
They will plant vineyards
and drink the wine they produce.
They will plant gardens
and eat the crops they produce." ERV

But going back to the unfaithful servant in Matthew 25, he thought he was doing the right thing by holding on to the talent, gift, provision, or position given to him on behalf of others, but little did he know he was acting presumptuously and as the Scripture says, ended up doing less than the least. This can be translated to something that hopefully will open our eyes to the realities of the standard of the Kingdom of God for us. We are called believers and those who are predestined to walk in His ways.  To explain further, we all have a book of destiny written about us.

This book mentions the plans and purposes of God for us as well as how, when, and in which way we are to fulfill our destiny on earth. But whether we know it or not going against the grain of the Kingdom of God creates a vacuum for us. In other words, not walking in alignment with God and the principles of His Kingdom that we learn to apply in our lives as we spend precious time of intimacy with Him so that we can be positioned when the what, where, how, and when to fulfill our destiny comes, can cause continual disobedience to His mandates for us.

This continual disobedience results in having our book of destiny or book of life edited or altered. When the book is edited, things are removed from us and given to others found faithful according to the standards of God’s Kingdom.
The sad part of this is that there are people that have been faithful to God and to the advancement of His Kingdom for many years until one particular and persistent disobedience can derail them to the point of finding their destiny altered because it was edited away from its original intent. We can see this in 1 Samuel 2:27-30,

27 “Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? 28 Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire? 29 Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?’ 30 Therefore the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” NKJV

When things have been stolen from us by the enemy, with God’s help we can see them restored to us and even multiplied because we did not desist in pursuing what God said is ours. This is different than when we have gone astray from the path of righteousness and refuse to go back. When we are warned time and again to turn from our wrongdoing and refuse to, we can end up being expelled from the place we were originally called to occupy with no way to return again. Ezekiel 3:20-21 illustrates this,

20 “’Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. 21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.’” NKJV

As we know this is what happened to Adam and Eve after they disobeyed the one mandate of God to not eat of the fruit of the tree He had said to not eat from (Genesis 2:16-17). Daniel 4:34-35 discloses to us God's stand as our God, Creator, Ruler, and Lord. Something King Nebuchadnezzar had to learn for himself as he spent seven years in the wilderness of testing because pride was found in his heart and he claimed his accomplishments and power to rule as something he got without giving glory to God for them for it is He who gives us power to obtain them so we can fulfill His mandate for us and our generations. It says,

 "God rules forever!
His kingdom continues for all generations.
35 People on earth
    are not really important.
God does what he wants
    with the powers of heaven
    and the people on earth.
No one can stop his powerful hand
    or question what he does."

But the Bible warns us in Isaiah 51:1 to look to the rock from where we were hewn down and to the hole of the pit from which we were dug because we choose to follow after righteousness. This signifies that God always wants us to go back to Him and to the path from which we have gone astray. The enemy sends his demonic cloud of confusion and distractions that keep many away from the right path in his attempt to derail them from their destiny. But God never ceases to call them back to Him.

The Lord, who is Jealous of our devotion and sole worship of Him still looks to and fro for those who will return to walk faithfully with Him. So while the things that were lost because of the derailment and misalignment with His will and His way may not return in the same way, once we return to the right path even though it is narrow and uphill, we can be assured to see how He will restore us and enlarge us again not only in our territory but in our influence and capacity to receive more of Him and the riches and goodness of His Kingdom.

This happens because we pursue the glory that was lost in our lives. We have said in other posts that Adam and Eve could not have their glory restored and instead lived the rest of their lives toiling and sweating to obtain what they once received because they walked under the glory cloud of God continually. Thus, if we choose to return to God and His ways, we can be assured to see the glory of God restored in our lives when we complete God’s mandate in the process He chooses for us to walk towards that manifestation.

To Him alone be all the glory. ▪

The Importance of Following the Path Ordained for Us

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” AMP

Those of us who are mature in the knowledge and ways of the Lord our God know that we are in this world to do what has been predestined for us from the foundations of the world and continually seek Him to find out what steps to take that will help us follow the path laid for us.  But there are others that still stagger at the thought that they cannot control their lives and make them work according to what they envision for themselves.

But the truth is that we were put on this earth to do those precise things that God has given us the grace to will and to do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13) because by this, we can advance His Kingdom, expand it, and also conquer in our spheres of influence in His power and authority delegated to us. The Scripture says that we are God’s workmanship. This means that He has invested in us and has placed in us what we need in order to do what He created us to do. We are equipped, transformed, prepared, made in His image and likeness to say and do as we see Him saying and doing to be able to accomplish the greater works Jesus said we would do on the earth than Him.

This also means that we were made to take the paths that God has foreordained for us. By His Spirit He leads us and guides us to and through those paths so we live out everything written for us to accomplish for we are only a speck in His canvas compared to the panoramic view of everything He has planned for humanity and on behalf of His sons and daughters that He is using for such a time as this.

Psalm 37:23-24 tells us, 23 The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].
24 Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.” AMPC

This Scripture is clear in showing us that God expects us to take those paths He leads us to take by His Spirit. This is essential for us because even if we stumble and fall from the path, as long as we recognize our mistake and with a humble heart cry out to Him to help us get back, we can be assured that He will send us help to get in the right position for us. But when we refuse to get back to the path, we are showing that we call ourselves our own god and our selfish ambition is more important to us.

The problem with that is that by choosing to do our own will we are forfeiting to do what we were created to do by our Creator and Lord and this causes those things we are refusing to do to put a demand on our destiny and challenge us until they turn against us because we refused to comply with what was only ordained and designed for us to fulfill on earth. Jonah is a great example of this. Jonah 1:1-4 tells us (I exhort you to read the whole chapter),
1 "Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.
But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from being in the presence of the Lord [as His prophet] and went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading places then known]. So he paid the appointed fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish from being in the presence of the Lord [as His servant and minister].

But the Lord sent out a great wind upon the sea, and there was a violent tempest on the sea so that the ship was about to be broken." AMPC

The more we go astray from the path, the more we are blinded and deafened to what we are here to do. When we asked the Lord Jesus to come into our hearts and be our Lord and Savior, we also relinquished our will to do our own idea of things to instead take on His will for us. We were put on this earth to do only what pleases our Lord and Father. Apart from Him and His will for us, there is nothing we can do that will stand. John 5:30 tells us this,

“I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord—but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.” AMPC

This lack of discernment of the will of God for us and others around us is one important reason why many are weak, sick and others have fallen asleep (have died) as it is noted in 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 which says,

27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.” NKJV

This is a hard word, but a necessary one to help us see that we are not our own and we do not design our own destinies apart from God’s will for us. Caring more for the things that make us look good to the world around us can cause us to lose our soul and forfeit our destiny if we do not surrender our lives completely to the Lord our God. Matthew 16:25-27 expands on this understanding by saying,

25 For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it[that is, life with Me for all eternity]. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world [wealth, fame, success], but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and then He will repay each one in accordance with what he has done.” AMP

As long as we are on the earth we never completely “arrive” to the point where we do not need to maintain and fight to not only keep the levels of accomplishments we have achieved for the Kingdom of God. But we also are here to continue to grow and progress towards the new things that God has for us to grow into through the revelations we receive during our times of intimacy with Him. These times also give us the knowledge, understanding, and the renewing of our minds which change wrong mindsets and demolish strongholds that keep us from reaching the higher ways of God for us.

Isaiah 55:6-9 highlights the importance why we are to always aim to reach the higher ways of God in our life and every time we want feel the need to be enlarged in our sphere of influence and authority for His glory to be displayed in us and through us. It says,

6”Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call on Him [for salvation] while He is near.

Let the wicked leave (behind) his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion (mercy) on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
AMP

This is the only way we can continue to be used of Him as we declare and expect the end which is the manifestation of His promises made to our ancestors as stated in Isaiah 46:10 which says, “Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose,” NKJV

In His faithfulness God has chosen to manifest in our generations the things He has planned for these end-times through our generations. Therefore, there is a price to pay to see those promises manifested in our lives, and like every good soldier in His army, we know that we are held by His hand as He goes before us and prepares the way for us when we find ourselves with obstacles we cannot remove by our own human ability because the battles are spiritual. Micah 2:13 tells us this,

“The breaker [the Messiah, who opens the way] shall go up before them [liberating them]. They will break out, pass through the gate and go out; So their King goes on before them, The Lord at their head.” AMP

In addition, we were also designed to always need Him because the promises He makes are always beyond our capacity and ability to realize for ourselves. If this was the case, we would never need Him to help us obtain those promises. This serves as an opportunity for us to recognize our insignificance apart from Him as we humble ourselves under His mighty hand until the time that He raises us to be honored in our place of assignment (1 Peter 5:6).

To Him alone be all the glory.▪
