Prayer to Remove Barriers to our Intimacy with God

I engaged in a study of what keeps us, believers, from having an intimate walk with the Lord, our God. From the things I found that hinder us, I was led to make a prayer that, although long in its content, helps us to be mindful of the things that keep us out of that wonderful time of communion with our Lord and will give Him free passage and authority to set us free from all these hindrances. As always, to Him alone be all the glory.

Gracious and merciful Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you help us maintain a spiritual climate where your presence can abide freely and our intimacy with you can grow in a way that keeps all religious coverings away from us and makes us free and unafraid to walk naked before you. Thank you, Lord for drawing us close to you so that we can run to you with excitement and joy as we hear you beckoning us. Thank you, Lord for in your mercy and grace you remove all guilt, condemnation and shame for the sins committed and the mistakes we made that came short of your will for us, so we can boldly come before your throne in our time of need of you. Lord, your voice is lovely, and we wait patiently for you to speak to us and show us your heart, and tell us of your acts and power. Father, we pray that any shields in our hearts and souls that are causing obstructions to our fellowship and cause us to hide from your presence be removed. We ask that any and all stacked-up shields and religious strongholds that have led us away from your truth that sets us free be destroyed now in the name of Jesus. 

Father, we confess our sins and ask that the blood of Your Son Jesus Christ cleanse us from guilt and condemnation, so the enemy cannot come before you to accuse us, nor can he release any lying, condemning spirits to destroy us in our emotions. Help us walk in the light as you are in the light for with you is where we find this cleansing through your Word of truth that makes us free, and where your forgiveness and healing love is waiting for us. Lord God, help us remove any masquerades that conceal deep-seated hurts from our pasts. Father we have been wearing these masks so well and have walked pretending all is well with our souls while holding you, Lover of our souls at arm’s length. We have become pretenders that parade in a hypocritical lifestyle with coverings that hide us from you, your light, and your truth. 

But Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set at liberty those that are bruised. For this reason we ask you, our wonderful healer, to come to dig deep and touch the root of our pain. Probe and even pierce through our festering wounds and allow the light of your unchanging love to penetrate our inner most being. We surrender to you, and choose to forgive those who have hurt us and offended us and also choose to sow blessings to others instead. We choose to remain open-faced before you, releasing mercy and forgiveness from the past and letting you do this in us. Father, deliver us from the evil one that may come to taunt us to make our wounds more raw. Because of this, Father, we ask for your forgiveness for any carnality we have displayed and that may have led us to pray soulish and ungodly prayers against others in judgment or that were prayed to manipulate people or our circumstances.

Lord, help us to not be used of the enemy as hosts that release words or prayers that curse what you have blessed, that murder instead of speaking life, and that oppose those you have appointed to be part of our lives, specially our leaders. Lord help us be completely led and enveloped by your wonderful Holy Spirit to release blessings and your love for others through our prayers and intercessions and wishes. Help the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable unto you. Shine your holy light in our emotions, so we’re not harmful to ourselves or others nor become stumbling blocks that make others fall. We renounce any anger and fear and ask that you uproot any controlling spirits that may be using the wounds in our souls to sin against you, ourselves, or others. Hide us, Lord under your wings and in your secret place, Oh Most High God whose power no foe can withstand. Help us to close all doors to the enemy as we renounce false teachings, traditions and any untruths about you and who you created us to be. Make us strong in you and help us to will and to do your good pleasure. Help us not be cautious observers while others faithfully serve and walk with you in your power and authority because we choose to operate with your counsel and in the right season and time table for us. 

Father, help us to not be concerned with the way we look or what others think of us, or how we perform as you ask us to take steps of faith. Help us to not hold ourselves back by the fear of rejection or the fear of authority or the opinions of others. Help us, Lord to not be people pleasers as we choose to exchange at the Cross the fear that paralyzes us for the faith that propels us forward into our destiny. Father, we choose to be bold as lions for Jesus’ sake; we choose to tread on those spirits of intimidation and be more than conquerors. Thank you, Father that as we bask in your loving kindness and unfathomable goodness, we know that you are for us, so who can be against us, for you created us in your image and likeness as objects of your consuming love. 

Father, keep us also from the religious trap of criticism of others and from becoming score keepers of the behavior of others. Blast away our protective shields and strip us of those armors with the penetrating light of your truth, level the mountains that we raised within us and make every crooked mindset straight, knowing that truth may hurt for a moment, but we pray and speak with the motivation of love that cleanses and sets us free. Lord Jesus, help us to not impose limitations upon ourselves or others by believing the lies of the enemy to the point of making strongholds of those lies in our minds. We thank you for the light of the  truth of your Word that helps us to not agree with any negative words sent from the camp of the enemy that are not in alignment with your will and your word for us. Father, deliver us from these lies that the enemy uses to confine us in small places of false expectations and hurts.  Father, help us to not accept as unchangeable the circumstances we go through and help us rise above hopelessness as we run into the light of your presence. Father you love us and you have made us to be more than conqueror fighters for your truth that wage war with the name and the Blood of Jesus to break out of our boxed- imposed limitations through the cross of our Lord Jesus where we are led to exchange our wills for yours. 

Father help our vision become clear and focused with our eyes focused on your Son so that we do not give in to the lust of the eyes by giving our eyes to the enemy’s camp or by allowing tainted filters and visual obstacles to block your prophetic presence. Help us to not hinder the revelatory dimension of your presence in which you want us to walk with pure eyes. Deliver us from impulses and temptations of our flesh. Crucify and cleanse us from the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life because we want your power to move through us, your human vessels that walk with clean hands and pure hearts, and that are able to ascend to your hill and stand in your holy place. Father, we present our bodies as living sacrifices holy and acceptable unto you and as instruments of righteousness and holiness and alive from the dead. We present ourselves to you to be sanctified and empowered as you touch us with your fire ignited within us and that shine your light, so others can be touched through our lives. 

Father, help us to not be wise in our eyes, to not want to receive the glory or the credit for the things you do by your grace and mercy through us. We renounce self exaltation and pride, and with humble hearts we choose to prostrate ourselves before you and worship and exalt you. We choose to worship you and remove pride from its self-appointed throne in our hearts because we recognize that worship is the most powerful tool we possess in our spiritual warfare and we do not want to be opposed by you. Lord, may our hearts become a dwelling place for your Son Jesus’ rule to be released in our lives and for the works of darkness to be destroyed in our midst. King Jesus, take your rightful seat of honor and authority in our lives as you draw near to us and shake pride and haughtiness out of their illegal place for we do not want to walk with a corrupt character, but want the character of your Son to shine brightly through us, in our worship, in our intimacy and ministry to you, in our congregations and communion together and in the things we do to advance your kingdom. We choose to worship you extravagantly since we were created to worship and give the glory and the honor to you alone. 

Father we now choose to partake of the Cross of Jesus. We choose to partake of the death and the life of your Son, so we can walk free of barriers to our intimacy with you, for Jesus has already paid the price with His blood to purchase our freedom to worship and serve you in righteousness and holiness. Father of glory, wrap your arms around us and give us passion in our hearts for your presence. Mark us to hear your heart and to live in intimacy with you through your son Jesus Christ. We thank you and praise you for the body and the blood of Jesus that have been given to us so that we can walk in newness of life for the glory of your Son and for us to be one with Him as He is one with you. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Abraham's Three Descendants by Grace

There is an aspect of our walk as believers that we do not hear much about. In fact, other than one book I read a few years ago that mentioned this just a little, I have not heard this been spoken of among Christians. But there is one characteristic of the One New Man and its three fold cord that is essential in our success to take dominion in the land God has promised us in Kingdom of God power and authority. It is extremely important that we understand the role of Christians, Jews and the children of Ishmael, so that our intercessions can take a whole new paradigm that will manifest the glory of God shining bright for us all as we fight for each other to obtain victories unheard of. With the help of yet another excerpt from my upcoming book, I hope you can come to this understanding.

Romans 11:5-6

⁵Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. NKJV

The Descendants of Ishmael

One very important thing to add is that this grace has also been extended to the descendants of Ishmael. Ishmael was not the child promised to Abraham originally, but was the result of Abram’s works of the flesh after his wife Sarah prompted him to lay with her maid Hagar so she could have children with him through her. By this time God had changed Abram’s  name to Abraham, and it was him (Abraham) who sent both Hagar and Ishmael away also at the prompting of Sarah. But because of God’s covenant with Abraham, and also because he was counted as a righteous man and was called God’s friend, Abraham prayed to God on behalf of Ishmael, and God heard him. 

In Genesis 17:18 Abraham said to God, Oh, that Ishmael, might live before You!” And God responded in verse 20 saying, “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

The descendants of Ishmael also have an apostolic contribution to give on behalf of the Kingdom of God. The problem has been the enmity between the descendants of Isaac and the descendants of Ishmael for many generations. This makes Abraham’s family incomplete and divided because according to 1 Chronicles 1:28 The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael. God is also calling the descendants of Ishmael to partake of the unity of the faith to establish the kingdom of God as the great nation He has called them to be, but not as enemies of the Jews, but as fellow heirs of the blessings of God through their lineage with Abraham and God’s promise made to him.

Help in the Fight

In chapter 34 of the Book of Deuteronomy, after Moses died, Joshua was appointed leader of the Israelites. And in chapter 1 of the Book of Joshua, after he had an encounter with the Lord, he commanded the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh to help the other tribes possess their promised lands. They were to go before their brethren armed and ready to fight to help them possess their promises. Today, this is a call to the Church to fight for the children of Israel and the children of Ishmael, so they too can possess their promised lands and walk in the unity of faith as the one new man in kingdom of God power and authority. In other words, God has given the people of Israel, the people of Ishmael, and the Church each one a dispensation of His grace in the gifts bestowed upon them to fulfill His call and purpose for them separately. But these gifts and grace are also to be used to help each other in unity in the apostolic mandate of fulfilling the great Commission in power and authority and Kingdom of God dominion. 

Without this the work will be incomplete and more difficult to fulfill by one group alone. Just as each tribe in Israel was given gifts and blessings to help them fulfill each one their separate mandates, these blessings and gifts as illustrated in Deuteronomy 33 were also for them to use to fight for each other and work together in what God had purposed for them as His peculiar people. The same principle works for the Church and the people of Ishmael that as they work together in unity with the people of Israel, will be able to see incomparable victories with the Lord of Hosts as the shield of their help (Deuteronomy 33:29). We all are children of Abraham. To God alone be all the glory. ∎

Calling All Esther(s) 10: How Jezebel Appeared in the Garden of Eden

This post is a continuation of the previous one titled "How to Throw Jezebel out the Window" also an unedited excerpt from my upcoming book in which once you know how to remove the influence of the Jezebel spirit from your life, now learn how it got in, so with repentance and following the prescription outlined in this post, you can seek God to begin the process for your deliverance and that of your family line.

Genesis 3:1-6 ¹The serpent was clever, more clever than any wild animal God made. He spoke to the woman: “Do I understand that God told you not to eat from any tree in the garden?” ²The woman said to the serpent, “Not at all. We can eat from the trees in the garden. ³It’s only about the tree in the middle of the garden that God said. ‘Don’t eat from it, don’t even touch it or you’ll die.’” ⁴The serpent told the woman, “You won’t die. ⁵God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you’ll see what’s really going on. You’ll be just like God. You’ll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil.” ⁶When the woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it—she’d know everything!—she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate. The Message 

The day Eve ate the apple she received the ability to know good and evil. This is not a good thing. This meant that she would have certain knowledge about God and His ways, but full of the demonic contamination that came with it. That demonic contamination was the Spirit of Antichrist manifested through the spirit of Jezebel which entered the garden when Eve went behind God’s back and also behind Adam’s back to do something that God had said should not have been done. Verse 3 says that God had told them that if they ate of the tree they would surely die. The Jezebel spirit is a spirit of murder. It murders marriages, families, ministries, businesses, friendships, etc. 

In marriages and families, when one spouse does not do things in agreement with the other and goes outside the will of God without communicating with the other, it opens the way for the Jezebel spirit to come and cause chaos and destruction. This is even worse when the wife wants to act as the head of the household because the husband has too weak a character to stand against it. A household cannot have two heads. That makes a monster. The wife should act as the neck and shoulders that intercede for the head to turn towards God and His will for him and the family, so He does not open the way for any Antichrist manifestations among them. 

In turn, the husband, as the head should bless the wife and the children by guarding the gates of the family through a strong relationship with God, and by communicating the issues of the household and come in agreement about how to handle them because they’re both seeking God’s direction for their steps as well as fulfilling all his duties as husband and father without neglecting them. The husband will have the last word about what is going to be done, and the wife, even if she does not agree, should submit to him, and continue praying, if she sees it is not the right way to follow, so that God can turn his heart in the way it should go (Proverbs 21:1).  

But when this is not the case, the woman, seeing that the husband has a passive spirit (of Ahab) or a Jezebel spirit of control, manipulation, neglect, and abuse, will find herself going outside of her office as the wife and in the necessity of taking on the duties of the husband for herself, the household, and the children. This also leads to the entrance of the Jezebel spirit to influence her with control and manipulation, and even disrespect that is passed down to the children  because he is not operating in his position of head, husband, and father, taking on his duties properly and according to God's word for the family.

In addition, another reason the woman should pray and intercede for the husband is so that he does not get captivated by that spirit to turn him away from God and from His ways, and thus commit spiritual adultery against God. This could also lead to committing adultery in other ways as well because the spirit of Jezebel is also a spirit of whoredom and feeds on sex as well as other illicit practices because it thrives in impure environments. Sex outside of marriage opens the way for this spirit to come in and kill, steal, and destroy. 

But the other side of this coin is that people whose family lineage has not been healed from the influence of the spirit of Jezebel will attract also others under that influence. And if they do not heal from it before getting married, the door is already open for that spirit and the spirit of Ahab to come in, kill, and destroy. This will direct the whole family into a deep pit of devastation that could take a lot of work to come out from until,in extreme cases, the only way towards restoration is by removing the unrepented party until God says otherwise or for good if that is the only way to resolve things. That is why the serpent was charged with having enmity with the woman as punishment from God. Verse 15 of Genesis 3 states, 

I’m declaring war between you and the woman, between your offspring and hers. He’ll wound your head, you’ll wound his heel. MSG

The murdering practices do not stop at the marriage.  It actually attacks the marriage in an attempt to send a devastating blow against the children. This spirit also wants to murder the destiny of the children by having them serve him instead of serving God and the ways of His kingdom. Through rebellion, anger, jealousy, strife, and covetousness, the spirit of Jezebel will lead to murder because this spirit will cause them to do anything to get their wishes. Instead of being led of the Lord to crush the head of the enemy and stop the oppression because the children have a relationship with God, they will be used of the enemy to do anything to have what they want and even try to get out of the way those that stand in their way with no remorse. We see this demonstrated with Cain in Genesis 4:3-9,

³Time passed. Cain brought an offering to God from the produce of his farm. ⁴Abel also brought an offering, but from the firstborn animals of his herd, choice cuts of meat. God liked Abel and his offering, ⁵but Cain and his offering didn’t get his approval. Cain lost his temper and came into a sulk. ⁶God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? ⁷And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce: it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.” ⁸Cain had words with his brother. They were out in the field: Cain came at Abel his brother and killed him. ⁹God said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother? He said, “How should I know? Am I his babysitter? MSG

In the book of Esther, Haman, descendant of Agag the Amalekite (1 Samuel 15:8-9), came from a family that for generations was under the influence of the murdering Jezebel spirit that tried to stop and even eliminate the presence and existence of the Israelites even at the time when they were crossing the wilderness after coming out of Egypt (Exodus 17:8-16). In Esther chapter 3, it is written that Haman devised a plot to annihilate the Israelites because Mordecai the Jew, cousin of Queen Esther, would not bow down to him after he (Haman) had become second in command after King Xerxes (Esther 3:1-15). For this reason was Esther made Queen—to do away with the murdering practices of the spirit of Jezebel and all forms of the Antichrist manifestations against her people—God’s people.

There are other biblical examples of some that, under the influence of the Jezebel spirit, came against those who were anointed by God and His plan and purpose for their lives. These are:

Absalom: David’s son who tried to steal the kingdom and the throne from David and Salomon (2 Samuel 14).

Korah, Dathan and Abiram: who tried to remove Moses from his position as leader over the people of Israel and twisted things to accuse Him of the very thing they were doing to make themselves look good in the eyes of the people (Numbers 16).

Balak and Balaam: Balak asked Balaam to put a stumbling block against the people of Israel by cursing them, but God would not allow him to succeed in that and instead blessed them (Numbers 22).

Sanballat and Tobiah: who wanted to stop Nehemiah and the rest of the builders of the wall of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 4).
Judas Iscariot: who betrayed Jesus and helped the religious Pharisees accuse Him so He would die on the Cross. He did this for gain (mammon worship) and murder (Jezebel). (Matthew 26:14-16).

The sons of Eli: who prostituted themselves in the temple and exploited the people for gain (also mammon worship and the lustful abominations of Jezebel). (1 Samuel 2:12-17).

Pharaoh: who wanted to keep the people of Israel as slaves and then tried with his army to kill them because they wanted to leave Egypt (Exodus 14).

The daughters of Lot: who committed incest in order to have children (Genesis 19:30-38).

King Saul: who failed to do away with the Antichrist/Jezebel influence in the land through the Amalekites, and was later influenced by the same spirit to come after David (1 Samuel 15; 1 Samuel 18:1-15).

Vashti: refused to come forth when King Xerxes called for her to show her off to the people of the land. This was a violation of order in the marriage and in the kingdom (Esther 1).

Potiphar's Wife: wanted to seduce Joseph and insisted in spending time with him alone, but he fled and was able to escape her grip, and even though he ended up in prison because of her lies to her husband, this marked the beginning of his promotion (Genesis 39:7-23). 

Some Other Characteristics of the Jezebel Spirit Manifested Through People Under its Influence:

-their words are sweet as honey like a serpent to get as deep as possible and then go for the kill when the person is trapped.

-they seek to snuff out the light of the prophets of God.

-they seek to abort prayer and intercession.

-this spirit transcends geographical boundaries, regions, and continents.

-seek to find favor with people to get close to the greatest among them.

-appear to be spiritual, but they are manipulate in order to gain advantage.

-give dreams and visions of her imagination and even take other people’s dreams and visions to make them their own in order to sound profound.

-seem to have great revelations, but hate the authority of the Church.

-seek impure means and need gullible followers that are isolated to speak their false prophecies.

-they speak some truth to appear to be true believers of Jesus, but then twist things around in cunning ways to turn others away from God without their awareness.

-feel threatened by prophets which are the main focus of their target.

-they also focuses on leaders in order to find a weak minded person that would help them take dominion because their goal is to govern.

-then they use the weakest link to go after the leader to mess his or her head.

-they have false humility and justify their actions by saying they’re doing the will of God.

-say that God sent them because the leader is no longer fit to do the work assigned and they are the right ones for the position.

-they call evil good and good evil.

-they take advantage of other people’s bad memory in order to speak their lies.

-lay hands on people to release curses.

-shout, scream, and announce they have a great burden from God, but it is false.

-at home they control and dominate every member of the household.

-they are involved in the occult and bring a witchcraft influence to everything they do.

We need to seek the Lord to heal our lives from the influence of this spirit that has caused great damage in the church, in marriages, families, in the marketplace, and governments because chances are there may be one level or another of the influence of this spirit in our family line due to rebellion and disobedience that turned them away from God and the ways of His kingdom. We can start this process by praying as outlined in 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 and then following God`s leading out of this influence,

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place. KJV.

To God alone be all the glory.∎
